Description of Program
Before and After School Care (Latchkey) is available
to Sacred Heart students Kindergarten through Grade 8. The program is licensed
to operate before school starting at 7:00 a.m. and after school until 6:00
p.m., Monday through Friday. It will not be open on days that school is not
in session. Only those who have registered for the current year will be accepted.
This is not a drop-in program.
The program provides activities and experiences
which promote creativity, problem-solving, physical excercise, socializing,
creative group process, and skill building. While in latchkey, children will
enjoy arts and crafts, constructing, reading, board games, outdoor play, gym
activities, dramatic play, and even a quiet time/place to do homework. The
children are in a caring and nurturing Christian environment.
Admission Requirements
There is a resistration fee of $50.00 per family.
Registration occurs in March and due to limited space, is on a first-come,
first-serve basis. Registration and child information forms must be completed
before any child may attend Latchkey. All children in the program are required
to have an immunization record, including the Hepatitiis B series, as well
as one dose of the Varicella (chicken pox) or current lab immunity or reliable
history of this disease. Written documentation from the child's physician
must be provided to the Director.
Fee Policy
Tuition is paid in advance monthly. Payment must
be given to the Director by the last day of the month to cover the upcoming
month. Additional hours incurred will be billed at the end of each month.
