Sacred Heart's Parish Cemetery is located on Cherry Hill Road one block west of Outer Drive,
and has been supporting the needs of the Sacred Heart Parish Community since 1856.
The cemetery is one of Dearborn’s oldest active Catholic Cemeteries. Mt. Kelly Cemetery currently
provides for ground burial and interment of cremated remains. The construction of a Columbarium is scheduled to be complete
in the summer of 2008.
Parishioners and family members gather on a Saturday morning each Spring to plant flowers,
and again in the Fall for our annual Rake-Off, keeping the grounds inviting, and holding
this "communion of saints" in our hearts and prayers.
The Mount Kelly Cemetery Board, includes both parish staff and parishioners, and addresses the Cemetery
policies, operating procedures, future planning and other related issues.
